An energy statement shows the predicted CO2 use of a building and suggests measures that can reduce CO2 emissions through the use of on site renewable technologies.
Some planning departments specify that an energy statement should be produced along with a SAP or SBEM calculations to evidence how the developer intends to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
